Saving lives in Equateur Province
Nurse Bosako is already making a difference at Bolenge Hospital, after completing a 3-month training course in emergency medicine, funded by DAK Foundation and HandUp Congo.
“We have begun to provide training to the entire emergency team at the Bolenge Evangelical Hospital. We are raising the capacity little by little in order to form an efficient team, to respond promptly to emergencies commonly encountered in our city.
I would like to tell you about an incident that happened. Today, we were able to save students from Nsangy'a Ndotsi high school who experienced a road traffic accident around 11 am, while they were accompanying the body of one of their parents to the Bolenge cemetery. The tragedy left 9 seriously injured, including 8 students and a young man.
Thanks to the training received, we have just saved all 8 girl students.”
